The NMM course has given me numerous valuable insights I am eager to apply in my career. I learned a lot, but one highlight was how organizations and businesses leverage social media, influencer outreach, and content marketing to enhance their brand and engage their target audience. This course has deepened my understanding of the benefits of influencer and brand ambassador marketing programs and the distinctions among various influencer tiers, such as micro, macro, and celebrity influencers. One of my favorite revelations was that brands do not continuously pursue the most prominent influencers with the highest follower counts; instead, they often prioritize engagement and their followers' connection with the brand (Handley, 2020).

Additionally, this course prompted me to reflect on my previous coursework, particularly in consumer behavior and digital storytelling. The focus on audience research and influencer identification has refined my approach to customer personas and brand messaging, allowing for more targeted and effective marketing efforts. Grasping these elements enables me to incorporate new media, mobile, and social engagement strategies into my broader marketing plan, ensuring my digital marketing practices are aligned with contemporary consumer behavior.

This course has undoubtedly highlighted areas where I need to expand my knowledge. While I have a solid foundation in influencer outreach, I am excited to dive deeper into understanding ROI and analyzing the effectiveness of influencer campaigns. Currently, I work for a well-known third-party food delivery service, where one of my responsibilities includes setting up marketing campaigns for my brands. A key question I ask before launching any campaign is, "What are you trying to accomplish?" I look forward to learning how to engage with these inquiries more effectively. I hope to refine my approach to get stronger at planning and assessing which new media strategies will drive the most substantial results. This course has given me a strong foundation, and I am excited to build upon what I have learned.
